Thanks for the reply. I test rode a 300EXC today, and I do not think that this bike for me. It was very cold and it was only a short ride up and down the street, but I was not comfortable riding it, especially in the first instance. With regard to cost and convenience factor, I think Ill my XR400 as a first bike. Yes, it is very difficult and I begin to solve problems, but I plan to get tomorrow!

Good choice. Im a fan of KTM, of course, but the KTM 300 is a lot of bike for someone who has no experience and wants to putt around with his son, who learns to ride. Rather KTM 400, 450 or 525 4 strokes, I am old and slow, but they are very forgiving: drive. You can go as slow as you want, or just twist and go as fast as you want, 525 IMHO KTM 300 2-Stroker is a bit processed.

For those out there that you can find stocks KTM400EXC 4 stroke, and you have a question which, in comparison with the three bikes listed below. Always stroke KTM 400EXC. It is much easier, much easier to ride, and we all need is an electric starter, the narrow shady woods. The best part is that if youre used to the bike, you just twist the grip right to smoke all the bikes ... listed.AND comparo to do something for 2 stroke bikes listed below are not good. Orange apples comparison.
