2013 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS

In the new year 2013, Kawasaki released new design for supersport tourer class. This is 2013 Kawasaki concours 14 ABS. This bike holds its own with the best world-class touring rigs yet still negotiates the twists and turns of America’s backroads in finest, Ninja-inspired tradition. The Concours design is combination of technology, comfort and continent conquering performance meets the toughest demands of this selective crowd. Comfortable ergonomics make it well-suited to long days in the saddle, while offering proper body positioning for sport riding. Its overall performance will entice riders to pull out the big maps and plan extraordinary sporting tours through the next county or country.

The heart of the Concours sport-touring package in 1,352cc four-cylinder, four valves per cylinder , DOHC Engine with Variable Valve Timing (VVT), fuel System used DFI® with four 40mm throttle bodies, Ignition used TCBI with Digital Advance. The engine generates excellent low- and mid-range power, all followed by a top-end rush that would turn most open-class sportbikes green with envy. A big part of its tremendously wide power delivery is due to its variable valve timing (VVT) system, which automatically alters camshaft profiles according to rpm to boost low-end and mid-range power without sacrificing top end.

The Concours 14’s chassis used unique monocoque frame provides massive stiffness along with excellent handling characteristics and a high degree of rider feedback. Cradling the engine from the top, the frame’s compact structure keeps the bike narrow. The Tetra-Lever shaft drive, which routes all that power to the rear wheel, uses a four-link design to offset the lifting and squatting tendencies of lesser shaft drive systems when the throttle is opened and closed, all of which results in true sportbike handling. Plus, the Tetra-Lever system is almost completely maintenance free.

The Concours is packed with technological features that enhance the riding experience. The bike’s K-ACT (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology) braking system offers two modes of linked, anti-lock braking and great overall performance. A high-tech traction control system (KTRC: Kawasaki Traction Control) not only reduces wheelspin on slick surfaces, offering riders more confidence-inspiring feedback, but it can be easily switched off at the rider’s discretion.

2013 Kawasaki Concours 14 ABS released with US MSRP Price: $16,199 USD and some color choices such as Metallic Spark Black, Metallic Nocturne Blue. Kawasaki also give warranty in 36 months.
The 2013 BMW F700GS and F800GS

F700 GS brakes feature new, improved engine performance, the instrument was revised, and new bodywork. But the biggest difference with the F800GS seems to suspension, wheels, and bodywork.
F800 look a little rough as it may be targeted to conquer the off-road terrain with a high rider flying hours. F700 GS was more geared for riders are beginners. Hence, the design of the seat, especially a lower height than the F800GS.
Another difference, especially in the suspension system. 800 put on the front 43 mm inverted fork with a swing of 9.0 inches, while the rear shock with 8.5 inches flexibility. The second wheel rim spokes mounted size 17/21 inch. To 700 aluminum rims wearing size 17/19 inches, the standard model front forks (regular) size 41 mm with a swing of 7.1 inches and rear shock with a distance of around 6.9 inches.
Interestingly, shock on both the motorcycles can be adjusted via the control buttons are located on the handlebars. Only, 700 a lower seat design and a smaller front wheel. Then, for the 800, if the rider is small, the motor can be adjusted by lowering the suspension.
Glance at the safety features, both models are equipped with ABS brakes and lighter as standard equipment. When passing through dirt roads or dusty, the ABS is switched off and go back to using a conventional double disc with dual piston front Brembo calipers, while rear single piston. If you feel less secure, owners can add Automatic Stability Control (ASC) function sort of traction control and Electronic Suspension Adjustment (ESA) that were previously only available on models moge 1200.
Another package that provided BMW, for there are 700 tire pressure control (RDC), on-board computer, heated grips, bar, box, skidplates, hand protective shield, and extra lights.
Business machines, both are equipped with Twin 798 cc liquid-cooled four-valve. The difference in power. 700 has a maximum power of 75PS at 7300 rpm, an increase of 4PS from the F650GS. 800 was slightly larger, namely 85PS at 7500 rpm

The New 2013 Yamaha V Star 1300 Deluxe

Introducing the new 2013 Yamaha V-Star 1300 Deluxe. This bike delivers exceptional performance and value, making it the ideal choice for riders looking for high end appearance and features in a midsized cruiser and offers great touring comfort and reliability in an easy to handle mid-size package.

Powered by a 1304cc (80-cubic-inch) fuel injected, liquid-cooled, short stroke, SOHC, 8-valve, 60° V-twin, transmission 5-speed with multiplate wet clutch, and ignition with Transistor Controlled Ignition (TCI). The short stroke engine design reduces the "tallness" of the engine, while the 60 degree "V" makes the engine more compact thereby centralizing mass and lowering the center of gravity for lighter more responsive handling. One-piece cylinder heads feature 4-valves per cylinder to provide optimum breathing efficiency for maximum power output. Each head is fitted with a single long reach spark plug.

The SOHC valve train features 36mm intake and 32mm exhaust valves with special single coil springs for great power and torque. Valve angles are set at 20 degrees. Specially designed roller rockers activate the valves. The roller rocker system allows a greater amount of valve lift without producing excessive camshaft wear and friction. The slipper portion of the rocker arm features a needle bearing to further reduce wear and slide resistance. The camshafts have been specially designed to provide class leading power.

For suspension V-Star 1300 Deluxe used 41mm KYB fork features stylish large-diameter brushed-finished covers in front. Wheel travel is 135mm (5.3") for a smooth, comfortable ride. In the rear used Monocross style, spring preload-adjustable, single-shock, link rear suspension centralizes mass for agile handling. The linkage system provides a rising rate effect that provides excellent compliance on both small and large bumps. There are 9 positions of spring preload adjustability to suit rider preference. For brake, this bike used dual 298mm, floating discs are squeezed by compact twin piston front calipers in front and 298mm disc brake squeezed by single piston caliper mounted to the underside of the swingarm in rear.

The V-Star 1300 Deluxe also equipped with a rugged, waterproof Garmin® zumo® 665 GPS. Features include motorcycle-friendly navigation, including weather and traffic conditions (if subscribed to monthly service), lane assist, and 3D building view. XM® satellite radio (with subscription) and Bluetooth® wireless functionality.
